MUMBAI, 19 Jun (Commoditiescontrol): The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved higher Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for all mandated Kharif crops for the 2024-25 marketing season. This decision aims to ensure remunerative prices for farmers. Notable increases include nigerseed by ₹983 per quintal, sesamum by ₹632 per quintal, and tur/arhar by ₹550 per quintal. The MSP hike aligns with the Union Budget 2018-19 announcement, ensuring at least 1.5 times the cost of production, benefiting farmers with margins up to 77% for certain crops.Revision in major pulses and oil seed are as under
