US soybean net sales for Oct 18-24 at 2,273,300 MT, up 6 percent W/W

NEW DELHI, Oct 31: US soybean net sales were at 2,273,300 MT for the week ended October 24 in the marketing year 2024/2025 starting September 1, up 6 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.

US soybean net sales were at 2,151,700 MT for the week ended October 17.

Increases were primarily for China (715,000 MT, including 230,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 17,500 MT), unknown destinations (446,900 MT), Mexico (299,300 MT, including decreases of 3,100 MT), the Netherlands (159,100 MT, including 147,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT), and Italy (108,000 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from China), were offset by reductions for Panama (6,000 MT).

Exports of 2,445,200 MT were unchanged from the previous week, but up 45 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (1,529,600 MT), Mexico (216,300 MT), the Netherlands (159,100 MT), Taiwan (82,300 MT), and Switzerland (70,500 MT).

Export for Own Account: For 2024/2025, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 3,900 MT are for Taiwan (1,500 MT), Canada (1,400 MT), Bangladesh (500 MT), and Malaysia (500 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal

Net sales of 208,400 MT for 2024/2025 primarily for Colombia (50,300 MT, including 20,000 MT switched from unknown destinations, 7,000 MT switched from Panama, and decreases of 7,800 MT), Canada (39,900 MT, including decreases of 2,700 MT), Ecuador (33,400 MT, including 32,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Dominican Republic (28,000 MT, including decreases of 4,000 MT), and Mexico (25,400 MT, including decreases of 14,400 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (52,200 MT), Panama (10,900 MT), and Nepal (2,700 MT).
Total net sales of 100 MT for 2025/2026 were for Canada. Exports of 300,500 MT were primarily to Colombia (71,000 MT), Vietnam (53,500 MT), the Philippines (48,100 MT), Mexico (41,300 MT), and Ecuador (33,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales: For 2024/2025, new optional origin sales of 500 MT were for Ecuador. The current outstanding balance of 15,300 MT, all Ecuador.

Export Adjustments: Accumulated exports of soybean cake and meal to Guatemala were adjusted down 3,822 MT for week ending October 17. This shipment was reported in error.

Soybean Oil

Net sales of 10,400 MT for 2024/2025 were primarily for the Dominican Republic (3,000 MT, including decreases of 4,500 MT), Canada (2,200 MT), Mexico (2,100 MT), Colombia (2,000 MT), and Barbados (1,000 MT).

Exports of 2,900 MT were primarily to Canada (2,200 MT), Mexico (500 MT), and Saudi Arabia (100 MT).
