Australian Lentil Exports Surge in May

MUMBAI, 5 Jul (Commoditiescontrol): Shipments of lentils from Australia saw a significant rise in May, reaching 139,011 metric tons (MT), up from 112,602 MT the previous month, according to the Australia Bureau of Statistics. This brings the total exports for the marketing year to 982,117 MT, a 9% decrease from last year. India was the largest buyer, importing 65,529 MT, followed by Bangladesh with 39,457 MT, and Sri Lanka with 14,617 MT.
