Mumbai, 25 Apr 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):Prices for summer moong (mung beans)were mostlyb steady .Madhya pradesh's Khirkiya market saw prices recover today after a decline yesterday, attributed to a limited supply pipeline. Most Rajasthan markets reported stable prices, with Kekri as an exception, where prices dropped by Rs 100 per quintal and Merta witnessed Rs 200/quintal price rise due to local demand.
Indore saw no summer moong arrivals today, however, forward trade quoted prices at Rs 8500-8700/quintal.
Market analysts expect prices to come under pressure as arrivals of the early-sown summer moong crop increase across Madhya Pradesh. Favorable crop conditions are reported, and peak arrivals are expected in 15-20 days, likely leading to further downward pressure on prices.
