Ahmedabad, 27 June (CommoditiesControl): The coriander market in Saurashtra continues to see declining arrivals due to rain and low prices. Traders note that any slight increase in prices could potentially stimulate selling, as farmers and stockists still hold stocks.
Today, approximately 13,700 bags of coriander arrived in Saurashtra, where the average price ranges between Rs 1350 and Rs 1520 per 20 kg.
In Gondal Mandi, 10,000 bags of coriander arrived today, with 7,100 bags (1 bag = 40 kg) traded at prices ranging from Rs 1391 to Rs 1751 per 20 kg. Meanwhile, Rajkot Mandi saw trading of 600 bags at prices between Rs 1200 and Rs 1597, matching its arrivals.
Jamjodhpur Mandi reported an arrival of 150 bags, while Junagadh Mandi had 850 bags, Jetpur had 200 bags, and other markets recorded arrivals ranging from 1,700 to 1,900 bags.
Dhaniya contract for JUL delivery settled at Rs 7410/quintal showing an rise of Rs 32 over previous close of Rs 7378/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7332-7438 for the day. Open interest decreased by -840 MT to 24165 MT, while trading volume decreased by -555 to 1980 MT.
Dhaniya contract for AUG delivery settled at Rs 7500/quintal showing an rise of Rs 28 over previous close of Rs 7472/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7458-7528 for the day. Open interest increased by 1100 MT to 7650 MT, while trading volume decreased by -195 to 1610 MT
