Mumbai, June 13 (Commodities Control): Clove prices have shown remarkable stability over the past two weeks, both in import and domestic markets. In the Kottayam market, import clove prices have remained unchanged, with rates ranging between Rs 880 and 900 per kilogram for cloves from the Comoros, Rs 900 and 920 per kilogram for those from Madagascar, and Rs 890 to 910 per kilogram for Sri Lankan cloves.
Similarly, domestic clove prices in Kottayam have maintained their stability over the past week, with prices fluctuating slightly between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,020 per kilogram. This consistency in pricing indicates a steady demand and supply balance in the market.
In Shimoga, clove prices have also remained constant, with the price per kilogram holding steady at Rs 1,020 to Rs 1,040, unchanged from the previous session. Additionally, the price of clove stems in Kottayam has remained stable at Rs 130 per kilogram, the same as reported in the previous session.
Overall, this stability in clove prices suggests a balanced market, with neither significant supply pressures nor sudden changes in demand.
