Mumbai, June 26 (CommoditiesControl): Cardamom prices in major markets displayed mixed trends today, with buyers remaining active. Recent arrivals have totaled around 0.5 lakh kgs over the last two sessions, helping to support prices. Additionally, rainfall activity in major growing districts was reported to be 42% lower, which could further support prices.
The average price per kilogram ranged from Rs 2,250 to Rs 2,326, slightly higher than the previous session's average of Rs 2,280 to Rs 2,315. However, the highest price per kilogram fell to Rs 3,008, down from Rs 3,136 in the previous session.
Arrivals saw a marginal increase, rising from 63,152 kg to 65,383 kg. The offtake also increased, reaching 64,265 kg compared to 61,849 kg in the previous session. The offtake rate improved to 98.3%, up from 97.9% in the previous session, driven by stronger demand.
Grade-specific rates remained stable. Prices for 7 mm grades ranged from Rs 2,180 to Rs 2,260 per kg, Rs 2,360 to Rs 2,440 for 7-8 mm grades, and Rs 2,600 to Rs 2,860 for 8 mm and above grades.
