Clove Prices Remain Stable in Major Markets

Mumbai, June 27 (Commodities Control): Clove prices in the Kottayam market have remained stable over the past 8-9 sessions. The price per kilogram varied as follows:
- Comoros origin: Rs 890-920
- Madagascar origin: Rs 910-930
- Sri Lankan origin: Rs 900-930

Domestic clove prices in Kottayam ranged between Rs 1,020 and Rs 1,040 per kilogram.

Good rainfall was reported this week in Kerala and Tamil Nadu's major clove-growing regions. These rains are expected to support better crop development, which could impact future supplies.

In Shimoga, clove prices have remained constant from the previous session, ranging between Rs 1,040 and Rs 1,060 per kilogram. Additionally, the price of clove stems in Kottayam has also stayed stable at Rs 130 per kilogram.

Given the recent weather conditions and stable prices, the clove market is expected to maintain its current price range in the near term. The beneficial rains in key growing regions could lead to an improved crop outlook, which market participants should monitor closely for any potential impact on prices.
