Mumbai, June 26 (CommoditiesControl): Domestic pepper prices in major markets have declined for the fourth consecutive session, dropping by Rs 400 per quintal due to falling global prices. Despite this downward trend, local traders report that farmers and stockists are hesitant to sell their produce, potentially stabilizing prices in the near future.

The weather forecast predicts a 30-40% decrease in rainfall in major pepper-growing districts of Kerala and Karnataka, which might influence future price movements.

In Vietnam, pepper prices have stabilized following a sharp drop of VND 40,000-45,000 per kilogram after Eid. Current prices in major provinces range between VND 145,000-146,000 per kilogram. Market experts expect prices to remain stable due to scarcity of the produce.

Global pepper prices have mostly stabilized, except in Indonesia where prices saw a slight decline. The ongoing trends in both domestic and international markets highlight the volatility and regional differences in pepper pricing.
