Mumbai, 29 Apr 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):Kabuli chana prices remained largely stable in Madhya Pradesh's major mandis. Arrivals saw a slight increase, leading to a price recovery ranging from Rs 100-200 per quintal based on quality compared to Friday's trading session.
Indore Mandi reported arrivals of 4,500 bags, a rise from the previous session's 3,200 bags. Total arrivals across Madhya Pradesh's Kabuli growing areas were anticipated to reach 25,000-27,000 bags, significantly up from 7,000-8,000 bags on the previous day.
Market sources anticipate subdued demand for Kabuli chana from exporters and stockists until the domestic festival season begins in late August, which could limit further price gains. An expected larger crop in Mexico may further restrain export demand. However, lower prices could drive some stockist buying, preventing significant losses from current levels.
