25 Tons of Copper Berry Scrap Stolen After Truck Hijacked in Maharashtra

MUMBAI, April 30th (Commoditiescontrol): On April 29th, a truck with registration number GJ10Z7792 was hijacked by looters near Chalisgoan, District Jalgaon, while transporting 25 tons of copper berry scrap from Jain Recycling Private Limited, Tamil Nadu to Vedanta Limited, Silvassa. The hijackers then threw the escort out of the truck near Mohadi, District Dhule, and continued with the truck.

The authorities have released photos of the stolen scrap and are requesting that anyone who has information about the whereabouts of the vehicle or material to inform them immediately. Those in the trade are urged to take precautions and avoid purchasing any stolen material.
