US soybean net sales for May 31-June 6 at 377,100 MT, up 99 percent W/W

NEW DELHI, June 13: US soybean net sales were at 377,100 MT for the week ended June 6 in the marketing year 2023/2024 starting September 1, up 99 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.

US soybean net sales were at 189,600 MT for the week ended May 30.

Increases were primarily for China (109,100 MT), the Netherlands (56,600 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,400 MT), Indonesia (50,100 MT, including decreases of 500 MT), unknown destinations (42,500 MT), and Mexico (33,400 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), were offset by reductions primarily for the Philippines (3,600 MT), Cambodia (1,500 MT), Bangladesh (1,400 MT), Sri Lanka (1,200 MT), and Burma (400 MT).

Total net sales of 3,000 MT for 2024/2025 were for Taiwan. Exports of 215,300 MT were down 45 percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Netherlands (56,600 MT), Mexico (52,000 MT), Indonesia (33,200 MT), Japan (20,900 MT), and Colombia (11,100 MT).

Exports for Own Account: For 2023/2024, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 3,600 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT), Taiwan (1,200 MT), Bangladesh (500 MT), and Malaysia (500 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal

Net sales of 143,300 MT for 2023/2024 were down 43 percent from the previous week and 40 percent from the prior 4-week average.

Increases primarily for Mexico (64,300 MT, including decreases of 3,800 MT), unknown destinations (23,000 MT), Canada (10,900 MT), Kuwait (7,500 MT), and Taiwan (7,300 MT), were offset by reductions primarily for Honduras (2,400 MT), Belgium (1,400 MT), Jamaica (1,200 MT), Costa Rica (800 MT), and Colombia (700 MT).

Net sales of 27,100 MT for 2024/2025 reported for Mexico (12,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (8,000 MT), El Salvador (6,500 MT), Japan (500 MT), and Canada (500 MT), were offset by reductions for Sri Lanka (500 MT).

Exports of 286,400 MT were up 24 percent from the previous week and 31 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (51,200 MT), Colombia (45,500 MT), Canada (37,400 MT), Saudi Arabia (37,300 MT), and Mexico (29,300 MT).

Soybean Oil

Net sales of 14,600 MT for 2023/2024 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.

Increases were primarily for South Korea (12,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (1,000 MT), Mexico (800 MT), and Canada (500 MT).

Net sales of 3,200 MT for 2024/2025 reported for Mexico (3,700 MT) and Jamaica (500 MT), were offset by reductions for the Dominican Republic (1,000 MT).

Exports of 2,500 MT were up 76 percent from the previous week, but down 73 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were to Mexico (1,700 MT), Canada (500 MT), and the Dominican Republic (300 MT).
